DESCRIPTION:Find Your People   Build Friendships   Have Fun\n\nWelcome to the McHenry County Neurodivergent Young Adults Social Club!\n\nWe are a social group for neurodivergent young adults ages 18 25 who are looking to build friendships\, connect with peers\, and enjoy social activities in a welcoming and accepting environment.\n\nThis group is designed for young adults who may be autistic\, have ADHD\, are AuDHD\, identify as neurodivergent\, are naturally introverted\, or simply find it difficult to connect with others and make friends. A formal diagnosis is not required to participate.\n\n\n\nMany young adults are successful in school\, work\, and daily life but still struggle with social situations\, finding people they relate to\, or building lasting friendships. Our goal is to create a comfortable community where members can be themselves\, meet others with similar experiences\, and develop meaningful social connections.\n\n \n\nMeeting Information\n\nUnity Spiritual Center of Woodstock\n\n225 W. Calhoun St. Woodstock\, IL. 60098\n\nLast Friday of Every Month\n\n6:30 PM   8:30 PM\n\nActivities May Include\n\n  Board games and card games\n\n  Movie nights\n\n  Creative projects\n\n  Casual conversation and social time\n\n  Community outings and local events\n\n  Shared hobbies and interests\n\n  Opportunities to build friendships in a relaxed and supportive setting\n\nWho Is This Group For?\n\nThis group is intended for young adults who are able to participate independently in social activities and community outings.\n\nMembers should be able to:\n\n  Attend and participate without a caregiver or one-on-one support staff\n\n  Communicate their needs independently\n\n  Manage personal care and safety needs during meetings and outings\n\n  Engage appropriately in a peer social environment\n\nThis group is designed for young adults who are generally independent in their daily lives but may experience challenges with social connection\, friendship building\, social confidence\, or finding a sense of belonging.\n\nWhile we strive to be welcoming and inclusive\, this group is not equipped to provide individual supervision\, behavioral support\, personal care assistance\, or therapeutic services.\n\nWhat This Group Is\n\n\n	A place to make friends\n	A place to meet people with similar experiences\n	A place to have fun and build confidence\n	A supportive social community\n\n\nWhat This Group Is Not\n\n\n	Therapy\n	Counseling\n	Case management\n	A supervised support program\n\n\nOur focus is simple: helping young adults build friendships\, create connections\, and become part of a community where they feel accepted and valued.\n\nPlease RSVP at unitywoodstock.org\n\nCome as you are.
