DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 13 th annual Panting for Paws 5K and 1 Mile Family\n\nRun/Walk at Lippold Park in Crystal Lake on Saturday\, October 5\,\n\n2019. This event is for runners and walkers of all ages and fitness\n\nlevels who want to support homeless animals!\n\nFeeling competitive? The 5K is for runners and walkers. Your race will\n\nbe chip timed (CARA certified). For the 5K race\, medals and prizes will\n\nbe awarded to top female and top male runner. Medals will also be\n\nawarded to the top three female and top three male finishers in the 5K\n\nin the following age categories: 14 and under\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\,\n\n30-39\, 40-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-79\, 80 & over.\n\nDon't feel like running a 5K? Sign up for the 1 Mile Family Run/Walk.\n\nThis event is untimed and you can participate with your dog(s) too!\n\nGet all the awesome perks including a long sleeve performance shirt\n\nand hang out with your BFF (best furry friend)! There is no additional\n\ncost for dogs. NOTE: Well-behaved and socialized dogs who are 6\n\nmonths and older are welcome to participate. Only 1 dog per adult\n\nhandler and ALL dogs MUST always be on leash (no longer than 6 )\n\nduring the event and while at Lippold Park.\n\nParticipants can run individually or even form a team with family\, friends\n\nor co-workers. You can even set up your own fundraising page to\n\ngather donations and help raise even more for the animals at Helping\n\nPaws. After the races and during the awards ceremony\, everyone is\n\nwelcome to join us for refreshments. We will be also be serving beer\n\n(for participants who are 21+). Of course\, there will be other snacks\n\nincluding bananas\, bagels and more.\n\n7:00 am:  Same Day Registration\n\n8:30 am:  1 mile walk start time\n\n9:00 am:  5K start time\n\nNOTE: Due to the size of the 5K race and safety of all participants\,\n\nstrollers and dogs are NOT allowed on the course. You can participate\n\nin the 1 Mile Family Run/Walk with strollers and/or dogs who are\n\npeople-and dog-friendly. The course starts and finishes near the\n\nlarge pavilion near the softball fields.
