Resident Electronics Recycling Event
The City of Woodstock is proud to present a ONE DAY recycling event in conjunction with Environmental Defenders of McHenry County, McHenry County Department of Health and Elgin Recycling. Join us on September 17 from 9am-Noon at Woodstock North High School - 3000 Raffel Rd to recycle electronics, shred documents and more! ELECTRONIC WASTE Televisions & Computer Monitors* Computers & Small Scale Servers Printers, Fax Machines & Scanners Video Game Consoles DVD Players / Recorders & VCR’s Digital Converter Boxes, Cable & Satellite Receivers Electronic Keyboards / Mice & Portable Digital Music Players * Fees Apply for TVs & Monitors only * HOWEVER, TVs and Monitors Fees will be waived for residents of Woodstock. The City of Woodstock ‘Single Use Bag Fee’ will go toward paying TV / Monitor fees, up to 5 per household, with proof of residency. Fees apply for non-residents: $15 any size LCD Monitors $25 units up to 20” $35 units 21” & larger PLUS PAPER SHREDDING A shred truck will be onsite to securely shred your sensitive paper documents. Please remember these important tips: 1. The shredder can only take paper 2. Staples / Paper Clips do not need to be removed. 3. Binder clips, three ring binders and the like need to be removed prior to shredding. Please do so before attending the event. 4. Participants need to take back empty bags or boxes AND... ADDITIONAL ITEMS ACCEPTED Textiles & Clothing Clean Styrofoam Alkaline Batteries ($1.00 per lb) Fluorescent Tubes & Bulbs ($0.50 - $1.00 each)
