The Chicago Latin Band
Chicago Latin Band brings the vibrant sounds of Latin America to the Historic Woodstock Square for a FREE evening of music, culture, and dancing at the Park in the Square Bandstand.
Led by award-winning Ecuadorian drummer, percussionist, composer, and educator Andres Lopez, the ensemble features internationally experienced musicians from Cuba, Ecuador, Europe, and the United States. Together, they create an exciting live performance rooted in tradition while embracing innovation and cross-cultural collaboration.
Audiences can expect an energetic blend of Cuban son, salsa, bolero, cha-cha-cha, cumbia, Latin jazz, and Afro-Latin rhythms performed with authenticity, passion, and world-class musicianship.
The ensemble includes Cuban vocalist and sonero Charlie Mejías, whose powerful voice and deep connection to Afro-Cuban traditions bring unmatched energy to the stage. Cuban guitarist, arranger, and producer Norberto Guerra adds rich musical textures inspired by Cuban son, flamenco, jazz, and Afro-Caribbean music, while guitarist and trumpet player Boleszek Osinski contributes a unique sound shaped by world music, gypsy jazz, and Latin traditions.
Whether you come ready to dance or simply relax and enjoy the music, Chicago Latin Band offers an unforgettable summer concert experience for all ages in the heart of Woodstock.
