Friends of the Opera House to Produce Rainbow Fish in September
The Friends of the Woodstock Opera House, in partnership with talented directors
Cassandra Vohs Demann and Billy Seger, are delighted to announce an exciting new
production of Rainbow Fish coming to the Woodstock Opera House this September.
Designed especially for young audiences, and the young at heart, this heartwarming
show brings Marcus Pfister’s beloved story to life on stage with imagination, and
lessons about friendship, kindness, and sharing.
Produced by the Friends of the Opera House, the production will be co-directed by
Cassandra Vohs Demann and Billy Seger, bringing their creative vision and passion for
youth theatre to the project. Auditions and casting are currently underway, with
rehearsals later this summer.
Rainbow Fish represents a meaningful step toward offering more opportunities for
youngsters of all ages and their families to experience the magic of live theatre and to
deepen their love for the Opera House, helping inspire the next generation of theatre
lovers.
Rainbow Fish is based on the internationally acclaimed children’s book by Marcus
Pfister and adapted for the stage by Austin Zumbro. The production is presented
through special arrangement with Pioneer Drama Service.
A school performance is scheduled for September 25; public performances will be on
September 26. The show is recommended for children ages 4-10 and their families.
Tickets will be available for purchase in July from the Woodstock Opera House Box
Office or their website.
