About Us
The Woodstock Fine Arts Association is a not-for-profit, 501 (3)(c), volunteer-run organization devoted to promoting the arts in McHenry County and preserving the Woodstock Opera House. Since 1961, this group has worked to produce vibrant arts programming for all ages, from school children to adults. WFAA brings dynamic speakers to the Opera House stage through Creative Living, now the oldest, independent lecture series in the country. It's Children's Programs introduce grade-schoolers to the joys of live theater. WFAA awards scholarships to graduating seniors in McHenry County who plan to use their artistic gifts in the performing, visual or literary arts, either as a career or to enrich their lives. The annual Talent Showcase, held annually in the Spring, spotlights the scholarship recipients on the opera house stage. Culminating the Woodstock Fine Arts Association's season is the Spring Luncheon, the organization's fundraising event.
