CITY OF WOODSTOCK WELCOMES LAURA CULLOTTA AS NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

The City of Woodstock is pleased to announce the addition of Laura Cullotta as Business Development Manager, a new role created to support Woodstock’s ongoing growth and development efforts.

Cullotta brings more than 25 years of experience in business creation and development across McHenry County and northern Illinois. Her expertise and dedication to community involvement make her uniquely qualified to drive new initiatives that will benefit residents, local businesses, and the broader community.

In her role, Cullotta will be responsible for addressing budget constraints, enhancing city services, and supporting Woodstock’s future growth. A key focus of her efforts will be fostering strong connections with residents and local businesses, promoting civic engagement, and responding to the community’s increased demand for services in the face of a growing population.

City Manager Roscoe Stelford expressed his enthusiasm for Cullotta’s appointment, stating, “Laura’s extensive experience in business development and her deep-rooted commitment to our community make her an invaluable addition to the City of Woodstock. We are confident that her leadership will play a critical role in advancing Woodstock’s vision for growth, fiscal sustainability, and community engagement.”

Cullotta’s commitment to community service has long been evident through her active involvement in various organizations throughout McHenry County. She currently serves as President of the Rotary Club of Woodstock and as a Board of Trustee member for Leadership Greater McHenry County, where she also chairs the Alumni Committee. Additionally, Cullotta has been active in Woodstock Professional Business Women and has received several accolades for her contributions, including the Woodstock Chamber’s Volunteer of the Year award in 2019. For the past five years, she has chaired or co-chaired the Rotary Club of Woodstock’s Christmas Clearing House, a program recognized as Non-Profit of the Year in 2020.

“I am honored to take on this new challenge in a city as community-driven as Woodstock. I look forward to building meaningful partnerships and creating opportunities for growth that will benefit both residents and local businesses. This role is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside such dedicated individuals and bring innovative ideas to life,” said Cullotta.

A graduate of the Leadership Greater McHenry County (LGMC) Class of 2018, Cullotta was named Alumni of the Year in 2022. She continues to inspire others through her commitment to volunteerism and community empowerment.
