CITY OF WOODSTOCK EXTENDS PARKS MASTER PLAN SURVEY, SETS COMMUNITY WORKSHOP DATE

WOODSTOCK, Ill.— Continuing its commitment to community engagement and enhancement, the City of Woodstock is pleased to announce an extension of the city-wide survey aimed at shaping the future of the parks system.
Following the successful initial response and in anticipation of the upcoming Parks Master Plan Community Workshop, the extended survey period will afford residents ample time to provide their valuable feedback.
The master plan for the parks system will serve as a roadmap for strategic development and management, blending natural assets with the aspirations of residents. Community input is crucial in shaping this blueprint for the future.
Originally scheduled to close on Friday, April 26, the survey will now remain open until Friday, May 3. This extension will provide residents with an opportunity to participate following the Parks Master Plan Community Workshop, scheduled for Thursday, April 25 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Opera House Community Room.
Woodstock residents are encouraged to attend and contribute their insights to collaborate to create a parks system that reflects the diverse needs and aspirations of our community.
The interactive workshop provides an opportunity for residents to voice their concerns and ideas regarding the parks system. Through various exercises and discussions, participants will explore park alternatives, address community needs, and share aspirations for the future of our parks.
Families with children who wish to participate are encouraged to attend, as there will be a dedicated youth
engagement activity for a student’s perspective. Students can take part by collaborating on a community puzzle
and contributing to the design of their own park!

Accessible via www.woodstockil.gov, the survey provides residents with a platform to directly influence the priorities, objectives, and strategies outlined in the Parks Master Plan. All residents are encouraged to take the 10-minute survey.
